The Ohio River water level was up (A lot of trash in the water), and the weather conditions were bad. (Heavy Rain and Thunderstorms) But that didn't stop several teams from around the region from competing in the 2008 J.W.R. Memorial (Youth Equipment Benefit Fund Raiser) Tournament. There where teams from Ohio and Michigan that made the trip down to help raise money so the Support Group could buy more youth size equipment that will be offered for children to use at Passing on the Tradition Support Group Events.

And I'm very happy to say that the Team from Michigan was rewarded for there long trip down to Cloverport Ky. FIRST PLACE honors. And they also set a new Best Ten Fish all time total weight 470 lbs. (All Bighead Carp) Every Team weighed-in fish on Sunday morning, and no one had any accidents while on the water. After weigh-in there where plenty of Door Prizes handed out thanks to Support Group's Great Sponsors. (AMS Bowfishing, Bass Pro Shop, Cajun Archery, InnerLoc H20 Bowfishing, Muzzy Products, Mathews Inc., and Bowfishing Extreme Website).

Again, I want to Thank Everyone that showed-up to participate in this Memorial shoot to honor my father (John W. Richeson), and help the Support Group Team continue to pass on the Bowfishing Tradition by offering Youth Outdoor Activities for today's kid's to enjoy and participate in.

Dan Richeson (Mr. Dan)

Support Group Chairman

Look forward to seeing everyone back down at Cloverport Ky  July 11, 2009 at the next J.W.R. Memorial Tournament.
